Obituary:  Jimmy Lee West
July 20, 2003

Services for Jimmy Lee West, age 63, of Grayson will be held at
2 p.m., Sunday, July 20, 2003 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home
in Columbia with Rev. Benny Braddock officiating.  Harold Neely will
deliver the eulogy.  Interment will follow in the Old Union Cemetery
west of Grayson.
    
Mr. West was born in Caldwell Parish on October 1, 1939 and died
Friday, July 18, 2003 in a Shreveport hospital after a brief illness.
    
He was truck driver for Warco Trucking Co.  He served in the Marines
during the Vietnam Conflict.  He was a member of the Old Union Baptist 
Church and the Buck Branch Hunting Club.
    
He was preceded in death by his precious son: Jackie "T.B." West,
his parents: Solon and Minnie Busby West, and his brother: Bobbie 
Gail West.
    
Jim was a devoted husband and best friend to his wife: Barbara
Dortch West of Grayson, his son: Bobbie Lee West of Cleveland, Tn.,
his daughters and sons-in-law: Linda and Alastair Donald and their
children: Savannah Regan, Andrew Donald and Alexander Donald of
Katy, Tx., Angela and Chad Antley and their children: Victoria West,
Spencer Antley and Landon Antley all of Clarks, his sister: Barbara
Lynn Waters and her son and his wife: John and Angie Cominos and
their children: Nicholas and Justin all of Chicago, Illnois, his mother-
in-law: Etta Mae Dortch of Columbia, his sister-in-law: Frances Sanders
and children of Calhoun, his sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Edith and
Harold Neely and children of Port Gibson, Ms., his brothers and sisters-
in-law: Jack and Mona Dortch and children of Grayson, Raymond and
Donna Dortch and children of Clarks, his aunt: Bertha Howard of 
Urania, and his uncle and aunt: Huey and Artie Busby of Clarks.
    
Pallbearers will be Bo Russell, Bo Crain, Barry Dortch, Mason Adkins,
Jerry Lynn Adkins and Lloyd Reeves.
    
Jim worked in the log woods all of his life and loved the outdoors 
and nature.  He will be forever and always loved and missed by his 
family and friends.
