Obituary: Paul “Mike” Shelton, Caldwell Parish, Louisiana Submitted by Kim Wise Source: Riser Funeral Home Date: January 2005 Services for Paul “Mike” Shelton, age 65 of Clarks will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, January 1, 2005 from the Clarks United Pentecostal Church in Clarks with Rev. Gary Thomas and Chaplain Ron Lowe officiating. Interment will follow in the Fellowship Cemetery west of Columbia. Mr. Shelton was born on February 2, 1939 in Russellville, AR to the union of George and Frances Bowser Shelton and died Thursday, December 30, 2004 at his residence. “Goobie” as he was affectionately known was a retired crane operator in the offshore drilling industry. He was also a member of the Clarks United Pentecostal Church. Survivors include his wife: Patsy Cubbit Shelton of Clarks, his sons: Mark Shelton and his wife: Phyllis of Baton Rouge, Michael Shelton of Baton Rouge and J. R. Dannehl and his wife: Brandy of Hebert, his daughters: Paula Peppers and her husband Kim of Longview, TX, Tammy Couch and her husband: Michael of Trout and Tonya Brown and her husband: Timmy of Hebert and nine grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Robert Cubbit, Mark Cubbit, Mickey Lott, Joey Freeman, Bob Childers, Sidney Mack, Wesley Manning, Charles Jewell and Paul Roquemore. Visitation will be at the Clarks United Pentecostal Church.
