Steen is Claimed By Death May 13 Mrs. J.M. Steen, 74, was claimed by death at ther home in Kelly, La., on Thursday, May 13, following an illness of two months. Funeral services were held on May 14, at the Bethel Baptist Church with the Methodist minister from Wisner officiating. He was assisted by Rev. Hart, pastor of the Tullos Baptist Church. Interment was made in the Bethel Cemetery, under the direction of Riser Funeral Home of Columbia. The deceased was well known in Winnfield, having visited her son, J.T. Steen, many times. Mrs. Steen is survived by two sons, J.T. Steen of Winnfield, and J.H. Steen of Olla; five daughters, Mrs. L.T. Whitten, Urania, Mrs. Jack Ledbetter, Lake Charles, Mrs. W.L. Rankin, Tullos, Mrs. Clarence Stroud, and Miss Beulah Steen, Kelly, and eight brothers. Judi Whitten
