     The Sun says that Caldwell parish jail, at Columbia - a fine building, 
just completed - was burnt down a few days ago.  It was set on fire by a crazy 
man, Rezin Banks, who was its first and only occupant.

Additional Comments:
Reason Banks was the son of Riley Banks, who Banks Springs is named for.  A 
year after this incident, Reason married in Caldwell Parish.
