Sale - Mrs. Marie Anne Dardene to Thomas Cropper

Appeared: Mrs. Marie Anne Dardene, wife of Louis Leonard, representing him and 
appearing in her name as forming and operating all matters of interest 
existing and which might personally be relative thereto; who on October 13, 
1800 sold to Francois Gannie, and the latter to Jacques Leblanc, the 26th of 
January 1802, and this latter to Thomas Cropper, January 29, 1803 the whole by 
acts passed before Francois Rivas, former Commandant of the District of 
Iberville and deposited in the archives of this Commandant and of this County; 
as effectively by the present act she sells, to the same Thomas Cropper:

Two arpents of land of front on forty of depth, situated in this County of 
Iberville, on the right bank of the Mississippi river near Plaquemine, in the 
rear of the first concession or plantation which possesses or where resides 
the same Thomas Cropper actually, which is situated between the properties 
above of Francois Marionnau, commonly called Marion and below by that of Th? 
Hamelton, widow of Thomas Rills; the said two arpents of land of front on 
forty of depth being that which corresponds to the above said Thomas Cropper 
for his share, part and portion which comes to her in the second concession 
which she had obtained of all the former plantation which she and her husband 
possessed formerly, which they had sold to Francois Gannie by the act of the 
13th of Oct. 1800, mentioned herein above; and successively had come to the 
act of the ownership of the above said Thomas Cropper; which second concession 
belonged to them for having been obtained of the Lieutenant General of the 
Government of Spain in the Province of Lousisana according to confirmation of 
documents which she deposited in these archives and principally of the decree 
of the 21st of Jan. 1800.

The present sale made for sum of $40 forming the part which corresponds to him 
in paying of the $150 of expense and disbursement which the vendors have made 
for the total of this second concession of all their former plantation; which 
$40 has been paid cash and the vendors give quittance to Thomas Cropper.

By means of which the vendors have declared further to renounce in favor of 
the purchaser, all rights of property which they might have on the said two 
arpents of land of front and forty of depth of the second concession which 
they have just sold him.
