Maxine Authement

Maxine Mary Authement, 56, a native of Thibodaux and a resident of Golden 
Meadow, died Aug. 5, 2004.

Visitation will be 4 to 9 p.m. today and 8 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Samart 
Funeral Home in Cut Off. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. at 
Our Lady of Prompt Succor in Golden Meadow. Burial will follow at Cheramie 
Cemetery.

She is survived by her son Jimmy Dufrene Jr. and his wife, Shelly; daughter 
Lisa D. Duet and her husband, Darrell; niece Amanda Bruce and nephew Jules 
Bruce Jr.; sister, Tammy Bruce and her husband, Jules Bruce Jr.; and 
grandchildren Sarah and Brandon Duet and Bryce Dufrene.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Dufrene Sr.; her parents 
Sterling and Elise Lafont Authement; son Tony W. Thompson; grandson Braden 
Dufrene; and nephew Nicholas Bruce.

He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church. He loved 
crafts and spending time with family and friends.

Samart Funeral Home in Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
