Mildred Crochet Bergeron, 81, a native of Bayou Cane and resident of Houma, 
died at 7:15 a.m. Aug. 11, 2004.

Visitation will be 5 to 10 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at 
Chauvin Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 
a.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel, with burial in St. Francis de Sales 
No. 2 Cemetery.

She is survived by her sons, Dennis Bergeron of Sulphur, and Mark Bergeron of 
Houma; daughters, Barbara Dupre of Houma, Sharon "Peanut" Matherne of Houma and 
Carolyn Casper of Greenbackville, Va.; brothers, Allen and Douglas Crochet of 
Houma; sisters, Flavia Redmond of Bourg, Shirley Rodrigue and Alice Mae Pizani 
of Houma; 16 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-
grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Adam Bergeron; parents, Stanwood and 
Cecile Hebert Crochet; daughter, Jeanne Thibodaux; granddaughter, Tanya 
Thibodaux; brothers, Louis "L.J.," Louris, Ernest and Stanwood Paul Crochet; 
sister, Lois Haydel.

She was a homemaker and a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
