Betty Roark

Betty James Roark, 65, a resident of West Monroe, died Dec. 7, 2004.

Visitation will be noon to 2 p.m. Thursday at Riser Funeral Home, 7131 La. 156, 
Columbia. A religious service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral 
home chapel, with burial at Welcome Home Cemetery in Grayson.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Wendy Carlynn and Dwight Gilley 
of Baton Rouge; son and daughter-in-law, Joseph Hammons and Lori Watkins Ware 
Jr. of West Moneroe and Allison Rhea Roark of Memphis; stepdaughter, Angela 
Denise Green of Gautier, Miss. and grandchildren, James Luther Gilley, Katherine 
Rose Gilley, Hannah Kate Ware, Mallori Fay Ware and Joseph Hammons Ware III.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Billy Ray Roark; 
brothers, Jack and Donnie James; and sister, Ann James Darden.

Pallbearers are Dino Darden, Johnny Darden, Butch Darden, Donnie James, James 
Gilley and Dwight Gilley. John Dowling is the honorary pallbearer.

She was a retired school teacher and taughter at Raceland Junior High School and 
Caldwell Parish High School in Columbia.

Memorials to Louisiana Baptist Children's Home in Monroe are preferred.
