Joyce Buquet Richard, 72, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of Houma, 
died at 7:37 p.m. Dec. 18, 2004.

Visitation will be from 4 to 10 p.m. today at Chauvin Funeral Home in Houma and 
from 8 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Bernadette Catholic Church.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, 
with burial at St. Francis de Sales No. 2 Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, Daniel P. Richard Sr. of Houma; son, Daniel P. 
Richard Jr. of Houma; daughter, Sheryn R. Weaver, Suzanne R. Peters and Donna 
Richard, all of Houma, Lisa R. Hilton of Cookesville, TN and Linette R. Walton 
of Lafayette; sisters, Mildred B. LeBouef and Grace B. Maynard of Houma; ten 
grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Angelina Lirette Buquet; 
brothers, Allen and Edward Buquet; and sister, Mary B. Crowson.

She was a homemaker, member of the Catholic Daughters of America and Knights of 
Columbus Ladies Auxillary Council No. 7355 and a parishioner of St. Bernadette 
Catholic Church.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
