Hazel Barrios

Hazel Cheramie Barrios, 89, a native of Golden Meadow and resident of Galliano, 
died April 25, 2005.

Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in 
Galliano. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at 
the church, with burial following at the church cemetery.

She is survived by son Jake Barrios of Cut Off; daughters Betty B. Bourg of 
Galliano and Doris LeBoeuf of Belle Chasse; brother Theo Cheramie; sister Viola 
C. Dantin; 16 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and 27 great-great-
grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Junius "John" Barrios; parents Olezime 
and Lucretia Eymard Cheramie; sons Roy Barrios of Cut Off and Harold Barrios of 
Bay St. Louis, Miss.; brothers Emile, Tousaint (Alex), Rene, Webre and Leon 
Cheramie; grandson Harold Barrios Jr.; and great-grandchildren Toby Arceneau and 
Amy Barrios.

She was Catholic.

Samart Funeral Home in Cut Off is in charge of arrangements.
