Dwaine Garlington Sr.

Dwaine "Dog" Garlington Sr., 58, a native of Effie and resident of Galliano, 
died at 7:55 p.m. July 11, 2005.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Thursday at Falgout Funeral Home 
in Galliano. A religious service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral 
home, with burial at Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Esponge Garlington; mother, Blanche Overton 
Garlington; son Dwaine "D.J." Garlington Jr.; daughters Elizabeth Garlington and 
Jamie Guidry; son-in-law Chad Guidry; brothers Rodney, Alton and Joe Garlington; 
sister Karen Garlington Jones; and grandchildren Kyllie-Mae and Kasey Guidry.

He was preceded in death by his father, Praither "Buck" Garlington. He was a 
U.S. Marine veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of the American Legion Post 
315.

Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
