Louis Chabert, 75, died March 12, 2005.

A wake service will be held noon to 3 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church in 
Golden Meadow. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the church.

He is survived by his former wife, Louverda Charpentier Chabert; their sons and 
daughters-in-law, Louis "Buster" and Kathleen Chabert, Scotty and Judy Chabert, 
Tony and Julie Chabert; and their daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara "Bobbie" C. 
and Philip Chiasson, Kathy C. and Bobby Rousse and Dolly C. and Jimmy Williford; 
his wife, Rosalie Chabert; and their sons, Michael and Sammy Chabert; 
grandchildren, Chuckie Chiasson, Sonya C. Daigneault, Nicholas Chiasson, Peter 
Rousse, Wade Rousse, Laura R. Engemann, Davy Chabert, Matthew Chabert, Lauree 
Chabert, Tracy W. Hale, Jipper Williford, Sonny Williford, Joshua Williford, 
Scotty "Boy" Chabert, Renee Chabert, Wendy C. Reggio, Kristy C. Taylor, Lacy 
Chabert and T.J. Chabert; 23 great-grandchildren; brothers, Milton Pitre and 
Jerry Caime; and sister, Lucy Leaycraft.

He was preceded in death by his father, Norbert Chabert; mother, Argentina, 
Delice Chabert; brother, Sen. Leonard J. Chabert; and grandson, Benjamin 
Chabert.

He was a boat owner, rancher and commercial fisherman.

Donations to the South Lafourche Nursing Home Large TV fund or the American 
Heart Association are preferred.

Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
