Anna Mae Converse E.S. Harper, 63, a native and resident of Napoleonville, died 
Saturday, April 30, 2005.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4:30 p.m. today at Williams and Southall Funeral 
Home in Napoleonville, and from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Shakana Glory Full 
Gospel Church at 2151 La. 70 in Donaldsonville. Religious services will be 
conducted beginning at 11 a.m. Saturday by the Rev. Ronald Harbin. Burial will 
be at Bright Morning Star Baptist Cemetery in Napoleonville.

She is survived by her mother, Velma Converse of Napoleonville; husband, Lester 
Harper Jr. of New Orleans; sisters Audrey Thomas of Houma, Gaynell Rodrigue of 
Donaldsonville, Gail Marie Converse of Baton Rouge, and Rose C. Bell, Shirley 
Ann and Josie Converse of Napoleonville; brothers Raymond and Roland Converse of 
Napoleonville and Jimmie Converse of Baton Rouge; two grandchildren; five 
godchildren; one aunt and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and 
friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Converse; and sister Brenda 
Converse.

A former high school teachers, she was a member of the American Legion Post 585 
and a former E-6 in the National Guard. Her hobby was fishing.

Williams and Southall Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
