Patrick C. Hebert, a native of Houma and resident of Shreveport, died at 4
a.m. Thursday, June 13, 2013. He was born March 22, 1936. He donated his
body to LSU, and no services are planned at this time. He is survived by his
wife, Janifer Duet Hebert; children, Lisa, Patrick "Packy" Jr. and Timothy
Hebert; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in
death by his parents, Clifford Hebert and Dussie Belanger Hebert; brothers,
Jasper, Horace and Carrol; and one grandchild. He worked for Conoco in
Dubai, U.A.E. and owned and operated his own construction company, Hebert
and Cubs. He was retired.

(1984 - 2013) Nicholas Benjamin Jones, 29, passed away Sunday, June 2, 2013.
He was born April 14, 1984 in Raleigh, N.C. to Robert Thomas Jones Jr. and
Tamara Jean Jones. Nicholas was raised in Cary, N.C. and graduated from Cary
High School in 2002. He attended Carolina State University and enlisted in
the Coast Guard in 2003. A Military Honors Memorial Service will be at 2
p.m. Friday at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Cary, N.C. He is survived
by his parents; wife, Jodee; siblings, Amanda Jones of Cary, N.C. and Erika
Mead (Thomas) of Jacksonville, N.C.; grandparents, Frank and Carole Schwartz
of Raleigh, N.C. and Rosemary Jones of Cary, N.C.; and niece, Mckenna of
Jacksonville, N.C. Lieutenant Junior Grade Nicholas Jones served with honor
in the United States Coast Guard from 2003 until his passing. During his
career, he was stationed on Coast Guard Cutter Roanoke Island in Homer,
Alaska; Coast Guard Station Emerald Isle in North Carolina; and at the Aids
to Navigation Team in Morgan City. While stationed, his exceptional
leadership and superior ability led to his selection to the Coast Guard's
Officer Candidate School in 2011. Upon completion, he transferred to Marine
Safety Unit in Houma where he served as the Response Division Head, leading
six petty officers in protecting 3,000 miles of Louisiana coastline and
waterways from pollution and security threats. He was an officer of the
highest order who served his country with distinction. While stationed in
Emerald Isle, N.C., he met Jodee Van Egdom, his wife of Albia, Iowa who is
also with the U.S. Coast Guard. They married in 2006 and have been stationed
in Louisiana since 2009. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any
contributions be made in honor of Nicholas B. Jones to the Coast Guard

Joseph Philip "J.P." Landry, a native of Thibodaux and resident of St.
Charles Community, was born on Nov. 23, 1928, and died Thursday, May 30,

a.m. Thursday at the church. His body was donated to LSU Medical Center. He

Norris Charles Landry, 89, a native of Chackbay and resident of Thibodaux,
died Sunday, June 9, 2013. He was born Nov. 4, 1923. Visitation will be from

A Mass of Christian burial will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the church, with
burial in St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux. He is survived by his wife of 65
years, Joyce Adams Landry; daughter, Charlene Landry Richard and companion,
Darryl Rome; grandson, Cory Richard; and sister- in-law, Florence Landry. He
was preceded in death by his parents, Clemille Landry and Louise Borne
Landry; and brothers, Eyves and Forrest Landry. He was veteran of the U.S.
Navy and served in World War II. He was a 36-year employee of the U.S.
Postal Service, a member of the American Legion, and a lifetime member of
Home Hook and Ladder Fire Company. He loved gardening and watching football.

U.S. Navy Veteran who served from 1954 to 1958. Thomas was a masonic member
of Unity Lodge No. 267 F and AM. He served as master in 2002 and district
deputy grand master in 2005 for District 12. He was a very devoted husband,
a loving father and grandfather, and he truly enjoyed having his family,
friends and neighbors come over to visit. He enjoyed working in his yard
every day and planting a flower garden and trees.We will all miss him. Our

services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with burial in
Holy Rosary Cemetery. He is survived by his sons, Gerald and wife, Cindy,
Kenneth and wife, Darla, and Louis Jr. and wife, Terrell; daughter, Linda
Olivier LeBoeuf; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. He was
preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Toups Olivier; parents, Agnon and
Louise Hebert Olivier; sister, Emily "LouLou" Olivier; and brothers, Arnold
"Nonk," Aimzy "Poucho" and Augustave "Nome" Olivier. Falgout Funeral Home is
in charge of arrangements.
