Marvin "Cero" Benoit, 70, a native and resident of Thibodaux, passed away 
peacefully at his home Friday, Feb. 7, 2014, surrounded by his family. 

A memorial Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Bridget Catholic Church in 
Schriever, 

with a private burial in St. Bridget Catholic Church cemetery in Schriever. 

He is survived by his loving, devoted wife of 50 years, Elaine Bernard Benoit; 
daughters, Renee B. Kimble and Laura "Lucy" Benoit; sons-in-law, Eddie Kimble 
and Charlie Blanchard; grandsons, Ross and Alex Kimble, who were Marvin's eyes; 
sisters, Leola Gros and Doris Picou; and a brother, Morris Benoit. Marvin was a 
wonderful husband, father, grandfather and godfather, as he had a special place 
in his heart for his godchild, Lisa B. Stephens and husband, Craig Stephens. 

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Aimee Benoit; parents, Cleveland and 
Leoncia Benoit; and brothers, Horace and Russell Benoit. 

He was a parishioner of St. Joseph Co-Cathedral Catholic Church in Thibodaux. 
He enjoyed spending time at his camp, hunting, fishing, cutting grass, and 
making others laugh. 

He will be greatly missed by family and friends. 
It was a privilege for everyone to know him. 

Samart Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
