Lisa Elaine Giles Brown, 41, a native of Franklin and resident of Baton Rouge, 
passed away Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014. 

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until funeral time today at Greenoaks Funeral 
Home at 9595 Florida Blvd. in Baton Rouge. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. 
today at the funeral home. 

She is survived by her husband, Joe W. Brown Jr.; daughters, Kiersten Elizabeth 
Brown and Isabella Catherine Brown; son, Joe W. Brown III, of Baton Rouge; 
mother, Virginia Elizabeth Mallette and Dallas L. Baker, of Houston, Texas; 
father, Alan A. Giles and wife, Teresa L. Giles, of Houston, Texas; sisters, 
Amy Lynn Giles Arceneaux, of Lafayette, and Lacy Ann Giles Horgan, of 
Montgomery, Texas; nephews, Jacob Lennon Arceneaux, of Lafayette, and Landon 
Giles Horgan; and niece, Rylan Elizabeth Horgan, of Montgomery, Texas. 

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Emily Catherine Brown; maternal 
grandparents, Lorena Hester Hufft, George Troy Mallet Sr. and Maye Sones 
Mallett; paternal grandparents, Leslie Lee Giles and Nona Cope Giles; brother-
in-law, Warren Brown; and first cousin, Jason Mallett. 

Lisa was a graduate of Thibodaux High School class of 1990, where she was an 
honor student, award-winning 4-H participant, Girl Scout cadet, and a member of 
ROTC. 
She attended Nicholls and worked at Convergys and Baton Rouge General Medical 
Center. Lisa was an amazing daughter, sister, devoted wife, and loving mother. 

Greenoaks Funeral Home in Baton Rouge is in charge of arrangements.
