EDNA "MAME" CARTER a homemaker, died Feb. 22, 2014 at Assumption Community 
Hospital in Napoleonville, LA. 
She was 83, a native and resident of Belle Rose, LA. 

Visitations at Williams & Southall Funeral Home, Napoleonville, LA on Friday, 
Feb. 28, 2014 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. Visitations at Virginia Baptist Church, 
Ewellsville, LA from 8:00am to Religious Services at 10:00am Saturday, March 1, 
2014 conducted by Rev. Lloyd Jones, Jr. 

Burial in Virginia Baptist Church cemetery, Ewellsville, LA. 

Survived by her husband, Lloyd Carter,Sr. of Belle Rose, LA; 5 daughters and 
spouses, Barbara and Joseph Green of Klotzville, LA, Marion and Martin Maneau 
of New Orleans, LA; Bernadine and Alvin Rome, Cheryl and Kevin Landry, and 
Cassandra and Arthur Johnson, all of Donaldsonville, LA; 5 sons and spouses, 
Lloyd, Jr. and Lillie Carter of Actworth, GA, Johnell and Robin Carter of 
Plattenville, LA, Morrell and Ethel Carter of Napoleonville, LA, Jeffery 
Carter, and Morrisene Carter of Belle Rose, LA; 1 sister and spouse, Lillie and 
Rev. Obbie Southall, Sr. of Plattenville, LA; Also 29 grandchildren, 33 great 
grandchildren, and 1 great, great, grandchild. 

Preceded in death by her son, Dennis Breaux; 1 grandson, Rodney Carter; 
parents, Willie and Elizabeth Breaux, Sr.; 3 sisters, Clora Hayes, Clara 
Hernandez, Ivy Thomas; 4 brothers, Willie, Jr., Herman, Clifton, and Wilfred 
Breaux.
