William J. "Billy" Christen, 60, a native of Leeville and resident of Cut Off, 
passed away Wednesday Feb. 5, 2014. 

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Monday at Sacred Heart 
Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the 
church, 

with a private burial at a later date. 

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Plaisance Christen; son, Travis Christen and 
wife, Michelle; daughters, Amy Christen, and Jamie Christen Stelly and husband, 
Greg; brothers, Lawrence "Panky" Christen III and wife, Barbara, Frankie 
Christen and wife, Lana, and Daniel Christen and wife, Becky; sister, Stacy 
Christen Constransitch and husband, Brent; and grandchildren, Brianna Grigsby, 
Rhea Grigsby, Jon Michael Gonzales, Damian Gonzales, Phoebe Christen, Jamaul 
Guidry, Jakobe Guidry, Dexter Christen, Xavier Stelly, Thomas Christen, 
Audrianna Christen, Robert "Tre" Oakes III, and Cameron Melancon. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Christen Jr.; and mother, Ruth 
Collins Christen. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart 

Association. Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off is in charge of arrangements.
