Octavia T. Clement, 96, a native and resident of Choupic, was born Dec. 26, 
1917,and passed away Friday, Jan. 31, 2014. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. 
until funeral time Tuesday at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in 
Chackbay. A Mass of Christian burial which will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the 
church, 

with burial in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church cemetery in Chackbay. 

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Daniel J. Clement; daughters, 
Dolores Gravois and husband, Edwin, and Merline Brazan; son, Norman Clement and 
wife, Mary; sisters, Adele Braud and Dolia Morvant; 15 grandchildren; 29 great-
grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Harry A. Clement; sons, Mervin 
and Ervin Clement; parents, Orville and Cecilla Trosclair; sisters, Bridget 
Clement, Odessa Morvant, and Leona LeBlanc; brother, Norris Trosclair; son-in-
law, Fred Brazan; and daughter- in- law, Rosalie Folse Clement. 

Special thanks goes to Thibodaux Regional Home Health, St. Joseph Hospice, 
Thibodaux Family Doctor Clinic, and the nurses in Thibodaux Regional Medical 
Center's E.R. 

Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
