Shaeffer "Pop" Anthony Curole, 78, a native of Cut Off and resident of Larose, 
passed away Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014, at his residence.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until fuenral time Friday at Holy Rosary 
Catholic Church in Larose. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 1 p.m. Friday 
at the church, 

with burial in Holy Rosary Catholic Church cemetery in Larose.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Sandras Curole; sons, Casey Curole and 
wife, Mona, Tracey Curole and wife, Kelly, and Kirk Curole and wife, Wendy; 
daughters, Stacey Simone Pitre and husband, Fred, and Francine Kiffe and 
husband, Julian; grandchildren, Shane, Kristin, Jude, Whitney, Morgan, and 
Brennan Curole, Marty and Christopher Pitre, Angie Pitre Lanoux, and Parker 
Kiffe; great-grandchildren, Olivia Pitre, Gabe Lanoux, and Ali Pitre; and 
sisters Dolores Lowrey, Connie Cheramie, and Dinah Bradford.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Syriaque and Victoria Savoie Curole.

He was a member of the National Guard and the Knights of Columbus. He was a 
founding member of the Bouillbase Festival (Larose Civic Club) and Larose Civic 
Center Hall of Fame. He was an avid fisherman and the owner of Pop's Rod 
Repair. He was also a member of the 1952 LCO six-man State Championship 
Football Team.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to the American 
Heart Association or to Larose Civic Center.

Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland is in charge of arrangements. -
