Doris Foret, 89, a native and resident of Thibodaux, was born March 27, 1924, 
and passed away Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014. 

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Tuesday at St. Joseph Co-
Cathedral. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, 

with burial in St. Joseph Co-Cathedral cemetery. 

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Martin Foret; son, Dr. Robert J. 
Foret and wife, Lynell; daughters, Peggy F. Zeringue and husband, Bruce, Ellen 
F. Morvant and husband, Larry, and Carol F. Boudreaux and husband, Terry; 
grandchildren, Robert J. Foret Jr., and wife, Lucy, Martin E. Foret and wife, 
Zamina, Dr. Shane Zeringue and wife, Deanna, Kerry Zeringue and wife, Dottie, 
Judy Rasid and husband, Allie Jr., Paul Morvant and wife, Gena, Kristen 
Pennington and husband, Brent, Robin Powell and husband, Willie, and Amy 
Boudreaux; and great-grandchildren, Kathy Geoffrey, Rose, Joseph, Ethan, Kaden, 
Macy, Alexis, Gracie, Ty, Lily and Hudson. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gillis and Philomene M. Barrios; 
brothers, Hubert and Noward Barrios; and sister, Lois Barrios. 

She was a member of the Ladies Altar Society and the American Legion Auxiliary 
Unit No. 11. 
She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Co-Cathedral and was a promoter of the 
Central Association of the Miraculous Medal. 

The family would like to thank the ICU staff at Thibodaux Regional Hospital, 
St. Catherine's Hospice, and especially the staff at the Broadway Elder Living 
Home for the great care she received. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to the Central 
Association of the Miraculous Medal. 

Landry's Funeral Home in Thibodaux is in charge of arrangements.
