Joseph C. Larose, 87, was born in Thibodaux Dec. 30, 1926, and had been a 
resident of Metairie since 1962, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation from 11 a.m. until 
funeral time Monday at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home at 5100 Pontchartrain 
Blvd. in New Orleans. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 1 p.m. Monday at 
the funeral home, 

with burial in Metairie Cemetery. 

He was the beloved husband of 48 years to Ermine Frink Larose; son of the late 
Louis Gedeon Larose and Marie Ludevine Badeaux Larose; brother of Mary Lou Mire 
and the late Adele Larose, Edward Larose, L.G. Buck Larose, and Francis Hugh 
Larose; brother-in-law of Joyce Frink Glueck and Charles George Glueck; and 
survived by a host of nieces and nephews. 

Joseph was a longtime entertainment editor with the Clarion Herald and retired 
as associate editor in 1993. 
He was a brother of Sacred Heart for 18 years. 
He was a lover of the arts, music and the symphony. He was a longtime 
parishioner of St. Pius X Catholic Church and more recently at St. Clement of 
Rome Catholic Church. He served as lector, Eucharistic minister, usher, and 
song leader for both weekday and weekend Masses at both parishes while a 
parishioner. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial Masses are preferred. 

Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home in New Orleans is in charge of arrangements.
