Charlotte Matherne, 87, a native of St. Louis, Mo., and resident of Raceland, 
died Monday, Feb. 17, 2014. 

A private service will be held at a later date. 

She is survived by her daughters, Judy Vallcillo and Tammy Guidry; brother, 
Jack Garrison; sisters, Patricia "Pat" Ryder, Irene Garrison, Diane Garrison, 
and June Gibson; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Matherne; and parents, James 
Garrison and Amelia Garrison. 

Samart Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
