DEWRELL "DEWDY" PATRICIA SHIELDS, a retired employee of the Louisiana State 
Department of Health and Hospitals, died Feb. 23, 2014 at her residence in 
Belle Rose, LA. 
She was 64, a native of New Orleans, LA and resident of Belle Rose, LA. 

Visitations at First Israel Baptist Church, Belle Rose, LA from 12:00 noon to 
Religious Services at 2:00pm Saturday, March 1, 2014 conducted by Rev. Dr. 
Irving Brown. 

Burial in First Israel Baptist Church cemetery, Belle Rose. 

Survived by her daughter, Eumeka M. Simon of Gonzales, LA; 6 sisters and 
spouses, Ellen and Willie Milton of Charlotte, NC, Cassandra and Henry Ford of 
Marrero, LA, Loyalene Wilson, and Evelyn Robinson of Paincourtville, LA, 
Beverly Robinson, and Stephanie and Wayne Adams of Harvey, LA; 2 brothers and 
spouses, Solomon, Sr. and Debra Colley of New Orleans, LA, Marvin and Mandy 
Robinson of Belle Rose, LA; 1 grandson, Tristan "T.J." Turner of Gonzales, LA; 
Also a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

Preceded in death by her parents, Celestine and Solomon Shields, Jr.; 1 
brother, George Robinson; both maternal and paternal grandparents.
