Roy Anthony St. Pierre Sr., 72, a native of Larose and resident of Saratoga, 
Texas, died Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014 at Hermann Memorial Hospital in Houston, 
Texas. 

His family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until funeral time Monday at Faith 
and Family Funeral Services in Saratoga, Texas. A service of remembrance will 
be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home officiated by the Rev. Tom Muirhead. 

Honorary Pallbearers will be Brent and Brian Bergeron, Joshau Verdin, Charles 
and Christopher Haubois, and Brianna, Dyllan, and Noah St. Pierre. 

He is survived by his loving wife of more than 47 years, Marie Eveline Verret 
St. Pierre, of Saratoga, Texas; children, Cathy Bergeron and husband, Terry, of 
Houma, Melinda Verdin, of Houma, Mabeline Haubois, of Baston, Texas, and Roy 
Anthony St. Pierre Jr. and wife, Shanna, of Hull, Texas; grandchildren, Brent 
Bergeron and wife, Shanna, of Gray, Brian Bergeron, of Houma, Joshua Verdin, of 
Houma, Charles Haubois, of Batson, Texas, Christopher Haubois, of Batson, 
Texas, Brianna St. Pierre, of Hull, Texas, Dyllan St. Pierre, of Hull, Texas, 
and Noah St. Pierre, of Hull, Texas; great-grandchildren, Kora, Baileigh and 
Mattie Bergeron, all of Gray; and sister, Sylvia Crochet and husband, Melvin, 
of Des Allemands. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Numa and Anna St. Pierre; brother, 
Carrol St. Pierre; and sister, Betty Gros. He was a loving father and 
grandfather. 

He was a member of First Baptist Church in Batson, Texas. 
He has a great sense of humor and was quick with a joke. 
He was a very hard working man who will be greatly missed by his family and 
friends. 

Faith and Family Funeral Services in Batson, Texas, is in charge of 
arrangements.
