Donna Lynn Vicari, 49, a native of New Orleans, entered eternal rest Thursday, 
Feb. 13, 2014. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Donna's life from 
9 until 11 a.m. Wednesday at Mothe Funeral Home at 7040 Lapalco Blvd. in 
Marrero. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral 
home, 

with burial in Westlawn Cemetery. 

She was the cherished daughter of Guy Anthony Vicari and the late Barbara 
Falgout Vicari. Donna is survived by her sisters, Lesley Knapp (Thomas), Beth 
Fisher (Ric) and Julie Vicari. Affectionately known as Tawnty by nephews Ryan 
and James Knapp, she is also survived by her step-family, Mary Beth Vicari, 
Stephen Shaw, John Shaw (Kelly) and Maria Archer, a large extended family and 
countless friends. 

She was preceded in death by her brother, Chris; and grandparents, Salvador and 
Marie Vicari, and Guy and Irene Falgout Sr. A proud New Orleans native, Donna 
graduated from O.P. Walker High School and earned a bachelor's from The 
University of New Orleans. She was a highly devoted special education and deaf 
education teacher adored by her students. She was a dedicated member of the 
national service fraternity, Alpha Phi Omega, earning the Distinguished Key 
Service Member Award, a perfect reflection of her innate desire to help others. 
She was an LSU Tigers fan, a member of the Who Dat Nation, and Barry Manilow's 
number one fan. Witty, compassionate and creative, Donna's playful spirit came 
straight from her heart.

Mothe Funeral Home in Marrero is in charge of arrangements.
