Irvin Joseph Fontenot, 85, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus 
Christ, Monday, March 3, 2014, at home surrounded by his family. 

Friends and relatives are invited to join the family for a celebration of his 
life at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 22, at First Assembly Church at 150 Highway 
3185 in Thibodaux with Pastor John Skipworth officiating. 

Irvin donated his body to LSU Medical School. 

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Beverly; children, Joanna Hue and 
husband, Ernest, Tony Fontenot and wife, Julie, Esther Naquin and husband, 
Barry, Thomas Fontenot and wife, Janie, and Suzanne Menou and husband, Jules; 
grandchildren, Tessa and Nicki Hue, Amy Harper and Lee Fontenot, Chantel Clark 
and Angelle Molaison, Stephanie Whitfield and Philip Menou, and Kristina 
Thibodaux; and great-grandchildren, Payton, Mackenzie, Drake, Luke, Noah, 
Josie, Gabriel, and Victoria. 

Irvin's passions were first, his loving wife and family, then his hobbies of 
playing the harmonica and fiddle. He loved gatherings with good food and 
musical entertainment. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's 
Hospital. 

Irvin and his wife had a passionate love for children resulting in faithful 
contributions to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
