William Edmond Abrahm, 71, of Ruston, Louisiana, passed away on Friday, June 23, 2023, with his family by his side after a brief illness. He was a beloved and loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend, as well as a revered member of the Ruston community.

Billy was a graduate of Tallulah High School and Louisiana Tech University, where he was a member of the Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity. After establishing a career in the banking industry, he joined McIntyre & Associates Inc., where he worked for over 30 years. He was a former member of the Lincoln Parish School Board, Ruston Jaycees and a devout Catholic.

His favorite place on earth was Galveston, Texas, which he visited several times per year with his wife. There they enjoyed the sunset over Galveston Bay while listening to music.  However, nothing brought him more joy than his children and grandchildren. His support and love for them were unwavering and unconditional. Billy guided them through all of life’s crossroads with a caring hand, an open heart and positive, uplifting spirit.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Debbie Abrahm; daughters, Shelley and her husband Jere Cooper of New Iberia, Louisiana; Lindsey and her husband Bobbie Clark of Pearland, Texas; son, Matt Abrahm and his wife Alissa, of Monroe, Louisiana; brother, Charles Ladd Abrahm and his wife Donna, of Tallulah, Louisiana; grandchildren, Josh Cooper, Payton Cooper, Luke Cooper, Jack Clark, Max Clark, Bo Clark, Parker Russell and Sutton Abrahm; sister-in-law, Diane and her husband John Germain of Washington state; and brother-in-law, George Evanoff and his wife Sandra, of Washington state. Billy is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Louise Abrahm.

Pallbearers include Josh Cooper, Jack Clark, Parker Russell, Clark Canterbury, Rand McClure, and Pat Rabun.

A Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 A.M.
