Alexander - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal August 1, 1974 Donald H. Alexander Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. for Donald H. Alexander, 61, formerly of Tallulah, at the Tallulah Methodist Church with the Revs. George York and Nat Heeth officiating. Burial was in the Providence Memorial Park Cemetery with full Masonic rites under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home of Tallulah. Mr. Alexander died Thursday in the Oschner Foundation Hospital in New Orleans following a brief illness. He was a Tallulah native, but had lived in Gulfport, Miss. for the past five years. He had just retired after a 42-year career with the U. S. Department of Agriculture. He was a veteran of WW II. He was also a member of the VFW, a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the Presbyterian Church. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Virginia C. Alexander of Tallulah; a son, Robert Donald Alexander of Metairie; two sisters, Mrs. Marjorie L. Grupe of Norwalk, Calif., and Mrs. Francis A. Robinson of Tallulah; two brothers, Dr. L. J. Alexander of Gainesville, Fla. and R. T. Alexander of Foley, Ala.; and one grandchild. Pallbearers were M. A. Phillips, Will Clark, Gaines Byram, Jim McDaniel, Edgar Lancaster and Jim Sevier.
