All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Mittie Allen - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, May 19, 1967 Funeral Services Held Thursday For Mrs. Mittie Allen Funeral services for Mrs. Mittie Allen, 57, who died Tuesday morning at the Madison Parish Hospital following a brief illness were held Thursday at 10 A. M. at the Kilbourne Baptist Church with the Rev. Bobby Brown officiating. Burial followed in Kilbourne Cemetery. Mrs. Allen was a former resident of Kilbourne. Survivors include four daughters, Miss Peggy Sue Allen, Tallulah; Mrs. Evelyn Langston, Lake Providence, Miss Nancy Lee Allen, Monroe, and Mrs. Helen Ann Bolton, Houston, Texas; six sons, Roy Lee Allen, Pine Bluff, Ark.; Joe Edward Allen, Breaux Bridge; Ernest L. Allen, Monroe, Melvin T. Allen also of Monroe; J. L. Allen, Eudora, Ark., and Carl Edward Allen of Tallulah; two sisters, Mrs. Lucy Harper, Tallulah and Mrs. Nora Turnage of Eudora; three brothers, Jim Allen of Eudora and Charlie and Cleve Allen, both of Tallulah; and 17 grandchildren. Pallbearers were Sam Harris, Ray Purvis, Charles Cook, Jimmy McClendon, Phillip Littlefield and Jimmy Brown.
