Annie Purnell Almond - Madison Parish, Louisiana

Graveside services for Mrs. Annie Purnell Almond, age 91, of Tallulah were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, 
Feb. 6, 1996, in the Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah with Rev. Lillard Bevell officiating. Burial 
was under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home.

Mrs. Almond died Saturday Feb. 3, 1996, at the Madison Parish Hospital in Tallulah after a lengthy illness.

She was born in Tallulah and had lived in Madison Parish all her life. She was a graduate of Tallulah High 
School and attended Louisiana Tech. She was a member of The First United Methodist Church and The Tallulah 
Home Garden Club. She was preceded in death by her husband R. M. Almond.

Survivors include one sister, Lillie Purnell of Houston, Texas; one cousin, Geogette Regenold of Tallulah; 
two great nieces and one great nephew. Visitation was one hour before services Tuesday morning at the 
funeral home.
