All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Ida Ashley - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, February 6, 1975 Mrs. Ida Ashley Funeral services for Mrs. Ida Ashley, of Tallulah, were held at 2:30 p.m. n the chapel of Crothers Funeral Home with the Rev. Hubert Remore officiating. Burial was in Providence Memorial Cemetery. Mrs. Ashley died Friday night in the Madison Parish Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was a native of Mize, Miss., and lived in Tallulah for 40 years. She was a member of the Willow Bayou Baptist Church. She is survived by a son, Buford Ashley of Meadville, Miss.; four daughters, Mrs. Bilbo Sullivan, Mrs. J. W. Ellis, Mrs. James Hetland and Mrs. Lloyd Rogan, all of Tallulah; and 19 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Clyde Lee, Sanford Parker, Billy Frith, Horace Russell, Bud Taylor and Charlie Purvis.
