All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************** Freddie Jimerson Bailey - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal March 25, 1992 Funeral services for former Tallulah resident Mrs. Freddie Jimerson Bailey, 87, of Natchez, Miss. were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Laird Funeral home in Natchez with Rev Allen Winstead officiating. Burial was at the Pythian Cemetery in Bunkie. Mrs. Bailey died Monday. She was born in Ruston and lived in Bunkie, Opelousas and Ville Platte before moving to Tallulah, where she lived from 1940-46. After moving to Natchez in 1946, she became co-owner of Tot, Then and Mom Shop and found acclaim for making "Aunt Freddie's Hot Pepper Jelly" She also found success in writing cookbooks with help from her nephew, nationally syndicated food columnist and interior designer, Lee Bailey of New York. She was a member of Jefferson Street Methodist Church in Natchez. Survivors include one daughter, Freddie Lee Bailey Gee of Natchez; one sister Mary Elizabeth Fisher of Shreveport; one granddaughter; one grandson and one great-granddaughter.
