Baker - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, June 14, 1963 Funeral Services For Nathaniel Baker Held Sunday Nathaniel D. Baker, 73, a retired farmer, died Saturday in a Delhi clinic following a long illness. He was a native of Eupora, Miss., and lived in Madison Parish for the past 28 years. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church. Funeral services were held at 10 A. M. Sunday at the Crothers Funeral Chapel here with the Rev. J. B. Harvey of Delhi officiating with Rev. Dan Lott of Tallulah assisting. Burial was in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. Survivors include: His wife, Mrs. Fannie Baker of Tallulah; two sons, Leland Baker of Baton Rouge and John Baker of Vicksburg; a stepson, James M. Johnson, with the U. S. Army in Germany; two daughters, Mrs. Alice Stout of Jackson and Mrs. Grace Kenny of Baton Rouge, a stepdaughter, Mrs. Carrie Mae Jones of Fresno, Calif., a sister, Mrs. Ethel Lillie of Tippo, Miss., seven grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
