All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************* Janice Elaine Bassett - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Vicksburg Post, May 8, 2010 WEST MONROE, La. — Janice Elaine Bassett, 64, passed away on May 6, 2010, at her residence in West Monroe, La. Ms. Bassett was born on Dec. 20, 1945, in Mound, La. Ms. Bassett was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Henry Hodge and Clara T. Hodge; her sisters, Dorothy Hodge and Joann Busby; and her great-grandsons, Brayden and Jayden Ross. She is survived by her daughter, Angela Brown of Vicksburg; sons, Ronald Bassett and wife Amy of Winnsboro, La., and James Ross of Robbinsville, N.C.; three brothers, Donald Hodge, Ronnie Hodge and Charles Hodge; two sisters, Gloria “Sis” Price and Louise Acuff; grandchildren, Austin and Brandon Muirhead, Kelly and her husband, Chuck Ervin, Kristi Ross, Timothy Ross, Cole and Tyler Lively and Baby Boy Bassett; great-grandchildren, Triston Michael Ervin, Christopher Wade Ross and Shirellyn Makenzie Ervin; and a host of nieces and nephews as well as a lifetime of friends. A memorial service for Ms. Bassett will be held at 2 p.m. today at Crocket Point Baptist Church in Crowville, La., under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home of West Monroe.
