Danny Clifton Beard - Madison Parish, Louisiana
June 11, 1949 ~ June 20, 2026 77 Years Old
Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home Tallulah, LA June 2026

Danny Clifton Beard was born June 11, 1949 in Delhi, Louisiana and was 77 years old at the time of his passing, following a very brief illness, on June 20, 2026 in Vicksburg, Mississippi. Danny was a life-long resident of Tallulah, Louisiana. He was the oldest of three children born to Clifton Hollie Beard and Joyce O’Neal Taylor Beard. His siblings were Judith (Judy) Annette Beard and Michael James Beard.

Danny graduated from Tallulah High School in 1967. He joined the United States Army and was stationed in Germany for two years. Returning to Tallulah, Danny and his daughter, Brandy, made their home with his sister for the remainder of his life.

Danny was employed by NAPA in Tallulah, Louisiana and worked with Onward Bullard from 1971until it was sold in 1991. At that point, he was employed in the Parts Department AP of Case International Harvester (Case IH) which was later bought out by Progressive Tractor and Implement (PTI), Tallulah. Danny had often told his co-workers and customers that he “planned to work until he died” and he did just that as he went from work to the hospital overnight. Danny earned the nickname of “Hawk” among his co-workers and his customers because he had such an acute sense of which part was the correct one for a particular repair job.

Danny is survived by his sister, Judy Beard, his daughter, Brandy Beard Wilson, Delhi, Louisiana, her husband, Michael, and their son, Reed and his wife, Sophie. Other survivors who played a large part in Danny’s life are his sister-in-law, Angie Beard and her sons, Michael Beard II and Brandon Beard. He was predeceased by his parents, his brother, and his best friend and fishing buddy, Art Skelton.

Services honoring Danny’s life will be held on Friday, June 26, 2026 at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home, Tallulah, LA with Visitation at 10 a.m. and Memorial at 11 a.m. Interment of Danny’s cremated remains will be scheduled at a later date.
