Beard - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, November 22, 1961 Funeral Services For H. C. Beard Held Wednesday Hollie Clifton Beard, 81, died, unexpectedly here Tuesday following a heart attack. A native of Wesson, Miss., he had been a resident of Madison Parish for the past 36 years where he worked in the pulpwood business until failing health forced his retirement. He was for a time a Baptist minister. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Crothers Funeral Home. The Rev. Bobby Brown officiated, with interment following in the Silver Cross Cemetery. Surviving Mr. Board are three sons, Clifton, Troy and Herbert Beard, all of Tallulah; four daughters, Mrs. Nettie Rowley, Tallulah, Mrs. Lillie Tannehill, Dallas, Texas.
