All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Nettie Burns Beard - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, August 17, 1951 Mrs. Nettie Burns Beard Funeral services for Mrs. Nettie Burns Beard, who died Monday night in the Madison Sanitarium, following a short illness, were held Wednesday afternoon at the Tallulah Baptist Church at 3 o'clock, with the Rev. Shirley Briggs, officiating. Interment followed under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home, in Silver Cross Cemetery. Mrs. Beard was 67 years of age. Pallbearers were Gale Gayle, Drew White, Robert Olson, Tex Fondren, Fred Fondren, Roy Erwin. She is survived by her husband, H. C. Beard, Oak Grove, La.; three sons, Clifton and Herbert Beard, Oak Grove; Troy Beard, Tallulah; four daughters, Mrs. Lillie Tannehill, Dallas, Tex.; Mrs. Ellen White, Tallulah; Mrs. Corda Mae Smith, Jackson, Miss.; Mrs. Nettie Mae Rowley, Tallulah; one sister, Mrs. Annie Coon, Norfield, Miss., and 20 grandchildren.
