Lucy P. Bennett - Madison Parish, Louisiana

Funeral services for Mrs. Lucy P. Bennett, 83, of Waverly, were held today at 2 p.m. in the chapel 
of Crothers Funeral Home here with the Revs. J.D. Xxxters and David Ruffin officiating. Burial was 
in Silver Cross Cemetery for Mrs. Bennett who died Wednesday in a Richland Parish Hospital after a 
lengthy illness.

A native of Springfield, Mo., Mrs. Bennett had been a resident of Madison Parish for 38 years. She was 
a member of the Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include one son, Doyle Brown of Delhi; two step-sons, Clyde Bennett of Carrollton, Miss. and 
Almond Bennett of Odessa, Tex.; two step-daughters, Mrs. Lois Lehman of Carrolton, Miss. and Mrs. 
Thelma Ramsey of Ervin, Tex.; and 29 grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Red Netherland, Raymond Fuller, Don Martinez, Doyle Brown, Jr., C. R. Lilly 
and Thomas Calloway.
