WIGGINS, MS. Nancilee Yeates Bodine was born October 22, 1943 in Vicksburg, MS. She was the CEO and Educator of Bodine Pottery, LLC. Nancilee received her Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Tulsa.

She was the Treasurer of the MS Gulf Coast Attractions Association, former President of the Stone Country Arts Council, member of the Ocean Springs Art Association, Exhibition Member of the MS Craftsman's Guild, member of MS Artists Teaching Roster, and member of Very Special Arts Program. Nancilee received the Multiple pottery and Precious Metal Clay awards. Her special accomplishment also included hosting debate, speech, chess, clay workshops and conferences. Her hobbies were art, music, cooking, and her cat. Nancilee passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2013 in Gulfport, MS at the age of 69.

 

Nancilee was buried August 30, 2013 in Silver Cross Cemetery, Tallulah, LA.

She is preceded in death by her parents and 3 great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Patrick Allen Bodine; daughter: Nancy Lynne Dooley; son-in-law: William Bryan Dooley; step-children: Daniel Bodine, Mark Bodine, and Erica Bodine; grandchildren: Crystalyn Jewel Chapman, Daxon Orion Chapman, Dustin Bodine, and Denton Bodine; great-grandchildren: Danica Ja'nel Sims, Sabrina Elizabeth Davis, and Reece Michael Chapman.
