Dorothy Lewis Boney - Madison Parish, Louisiana

From Vicksburg Herald, January 18, 1913

TALLULAH - The regrettable news reached Vicksburg yesterday morning from Duckport, La., that Dorothy Boney, the 11 year old daughter of Mr. And Mrs. R. K. Boney who had suffered with meningitis the past week, died at 11 o'clock. Mr. And Mrs. Boney, who are well known and have numerous friends in the city, have the sympathy of many in their sad bereavement.

Death was thought to have been caused directly by paralysis of the heart, or respiratory nerves. The funeral arrangements were necessarily made private, due to the nature of the child's illness.
