W. Bowie Jr. Funeral services for William Wray Bowie Jr., 40, who died at Veterans' Hospital in Alexandria last week after a lengthy illness, were held here at 2 p. m. Saturday. Services were conducted in the Old Southern Mortuary Chapel here with the Rev. Clark Bell officiating. Burial followed in Silver Cross Cemetery. He had lived here for the past several years, but was a native of Natchez, Miss before his illness. He was employed by Eastern Airlines in Baton Rouge. He was a member of the Methodist Church, American Legion and was a veteran of World War II. Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Claudell Pamplin of Collingston and Mrs. Norwood King of near Yazoo City, Miss.; three nieces and one nephew. Pallbearers were Billy Buckner, Claude Grimes, Barton Sevier. George Speed, Warren King, Jerry Sanders, Dave Justice and Jesse Anderson.
