Bowie Madison Parish, LA From Monroe News-Star August 18, 1936 TALLULAH Aug. 18, - Special Wray W. Bowie, 52, died at his home here at 12:10 a. m., today after a long illness. Mr. Bowie was operator of a furniture store at Tallulah and superintendent of the Methodist Sunday school. A native of Vicksburg, Miss., he lived at Tallulah for the past 20 years. Funeral services will he held at 10 a, m. Tuesday at the Methodist "hutch. with the Rev. John F. Kilpatrick officiating. Burial will take place in the Silver Cross cemetery under the direction of the Glenwood Funeral Home. Mr. Bowie is survived by his wife. Ann D. Bowie; two daughters, Mrs. Harold Ferguson of Bastrop and Miss Ann Bowie, of Tallulah; a son Wray Bowie, Jr. of Tallulah, 4 brothers R. E. Bowie of Vicksburg and four sisters; Mrs. L.D. Hilton, Mrs. J. R. Wells, Mrs. C. O. Gathrite, and Miss Frances Bowie, all of Vicksburg.
