Betty Ammons Brown - Madison Parish, Louisiana

Born June 16, 1931, Betty grew up in
Tallulah, Louisiana. For a few years, she lived in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and
was employed by LSU administering placement and aptitude tests to veterans; she
always expressed pride in assisting these veterans.
Betty lived in Jackson, Mississippi, for many years. She had many interests
including reading especially Mississippi history, listening to Mississippi
Public Broadcasting, art and music. She was involved in genealogy and
maintaining/recording family history. Betty was an active member of the
Colonial Dames of America, Chapter XV.
Betty passed away after a brief
illness on March 27, 2025.
Betty was preceded in death by son
Thomas Carson Brown and siblings Sara Shelby, Robert Lee Ammons,
Jr, Ophelia Thompson, Alberta Berger Berry and George
Ammons.
Betty is survived by daughters Stephanie Brown Wauters
(Ronald) and Alicia Brown, grandchildren Katherine Sizemore, Patrick Wauters, and John Wauters (Madelynn) and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
