Brown - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal April 15, 1998 Funeral services for Mr. Franklin D. Brown, age 64, of Bernice, La., were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 9, in the chapel of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home, with the Rev. John Rushing officiating. Burial followed in the Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah. Mr. Brown died Tuesday, April 7, 1998, in the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Shreveport after a sudden illness. He was born in Texas and had lived in Madison Parish for most of his life. For the past six years he had lived in Bernice. He was a truck driver and an Army veteran of the Korean War. Survivors include one son, David C. Brown of Bernice; one daughter, Kathy Barbo of West Monroe; one brother, C. B. Brown of Bernice; one sister Mary Elizabeth Brown of Tallulah; four grandsons; and one great granddaughter. Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
