All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Mary Clement Brown - Madison Parish, LA From Tallulah Madison Journal December 24, 1954 Mrs. Mary Brown Passes; Resident Of Tendal, La. Mrs. Mary Clement Brown, age 63, died suddenly Tuesday at 11 a. m. She lived in Tendal where she was suddenly stricken. She was rushed to a hospital in Delhi, but died shortly after arrival. Mrs. Brown had lived in Madison Parish for 24 years, moving here from Ida, La. She was a member of the Tallulah Baptist Church, Tallulah Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star and Home Demonstration Club. Funeral services were held at 1:30 Thursday at the Tallulah Baptist Church, with Rev. Shirley Biggs of Ferriday, officiated, assisted by Rev. Irvin Cheney. Interment followed in the Silver Cross Cemetery with Crothers Funeral Home in charge. Survivors include her husband, W. F. Brown; two sons, Charles Brown of Tendal, and B. B. Brown of San Diego, Calif.; one daughter, Mrs. Bill King of Tendal; nine grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. J. D. Thornton, Texarkana, Texas, and Mrs. J. P. Austin, Pleasanton, Texas.
