Brown - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, March 29, 1989 Funeral services for Mrs. Vera L. Brown, 83, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Crothers Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. C.D. Beard officiating. Burial will be in the Silver Cross Cemetery. Mrs. Brown died Monday at Madison Parish Hospital after a long illness. She was a native of Waxahachie, Tex. and had been a resident of Tallulah for the past 53 years. She was a homemaker and a member of the Koran Baptist Church in Koran, Tex. Survivors include three sons, C. B. Brown of Farmerville, Wayne Brown and Franklin Brown, both of Tallulah; one daughter, Mary E. Chambliss of Shreveport; one brother, Everett Leach of Electra, Tex.; 10 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and a number of nieces and nephews. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
