Burns - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, September 3, 1986 Services for John G. Burns, 47, were at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Crothers Funeral Home chapel in Tallulah with the Rev. O. B. Robertson officiating. Burial was in Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah. Mr. Burns died Monday at St. Dominics Hospital in Jackson, Miss., after a long illness. He was a lifelong resident of Tallulah, a former manager of Kentucky Fried Chicken in Tallulah and was a member of the Baptist faith. He was also a member of the Elks Lodge No. 95 of Vicksburg, Miss. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Beth Burns of Tallulah; three sons, John G. Burns Jr. of Monroe, Guy D. Burns and Scotty Burns, both of Tallulah; one daughter, Mrs. Jody Holloway of Tallulah; mother, Mrs. Lottie Westmoreland of Tallulah; three brothers, Ludia Westmoreland, Burney Westmoreland, and Wayne Westmoreland, all of Tallulah; three sisters, Doris Glass of Tallulah, Lois Cole of Shreveport, and Doris Jean McHenry of Houston; and four grandchildren. Pallbearers were Fred Helton, George Wall Jr., Al Horath, Harold Bolton, Mitch Pecanty, and Joseph Pecanty.
