E. Burton Succumbs Here Sunday Afternoon Mrs. Rebecca Elizabeth Burton, 73-year-old Madison Parish resident, died Sunday afternoon at approximately 1 o'clock at her home on Tchoulula Plantation following a lengthy illness. She was born in Lawrence County, Miss., and had resided in this community the past 3 years. Funeral services were held at the residence Monday morning at 10 o'clock, with the Rev. V. W. Fairchild, pastor of the Baptist church of Epps, La., officiating. Burial followed Tuesday in the Union Hall Cemetery, 3 miles east of Brookhaven, Miss., under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home. She is survived by 6 sons, T. B. Hickman, Crystal Springs, Miss., L. J. Hickman, Chalmette, La., F. H. Hickman, Brookhaven, Miss., J. L. Hickman, Norfield, Miss., R. M. Burton, Tallulah, R. F. Burton, Jackson, Miss.; 1 daughter, Mrs. Effie Jones, Oak Grove, La.; 40 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
