Butler Madison Parish, LA From The Monroe News-Star (LA), Monday, September 4, 1972 TALLULAH - Funeral services were to be at 2 p.m. today in the Parkview Baptist Church for Fred H. Butler, 64, of Tallulah. The Rev. C. C. Cornelius was to officiate with burial in Providence Memorial Cemetery under direction of Crothers Funeral Home of Tallulah. Mr. Butler died late Saturday night in a Newellton hospital after a lengthy illness. A native of Danville, Ark., Mr. Butler had lived in Tallulah for the past nine years. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Baptist church. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Berdie [sic Bertie] Butler of Tallulah; two sons, Eugene and Don Butler, both of Tallulah; three brothers, Luther Butler of Dardenell, Ark., Arthur Butler of Ola, Ark., and Ernest Butler of Little Rock, Ark.; two sisters, Mrs. Florence Lumpkin of Little Rock, Ark., and Mrs. Mamie Edmunds of Morrilton, Ark.; and five grandchildren. Pallbearers were to be James Reeves, Wayne Reeves, Bill Ziegler, Ted Orjias, William Beard and James Panquin.
